We manufacture a wide range of high temperature, fire resistant fabrics and the fabric suitable for your application depends on the maximum temperature exposure, continuous temperature exposure, thermal insulation and chemical resistance required.
Option 1 : Chemical resistance is required and maximum temperature exposure is 550°C
Fabric Options:
Silicone Coated Fiberglass available in Single and double side coated in 0.5 and 1 mm thickness respectively. The Silicone Coating offers chemical, water and weather resistance & the base fiberglass fabric offers temperature and fire resistance to the fabric. Silicone Coated Fiberglass can be used continuously only upto a temperature of 250°C for thermal insulation assemblies.
Certification:
IS 11871
Option 2 : Continuous Temperature exposure is 550°C
Fabric Options:
Fiberglass fabric of thickness 0.4 mm and 0.8 mm can be used. Offers continuous temperature exposure upto 550°C and welding sparks protection upto 1100°C. For slightly longer life graphite coated fiberglass can also be used of thickness 1.2 mm.
Certification:
IS 11871
Option 3 : Continuous Temperature exposure is 1000-1100°C
Fabric Options:
Vermiculite Coated High Silica of thickness 0.7 mm and 1.4 mm can be used. Offers continuous temperature exposure upto 1000-1100°C and welding sparks protection upto 1600°C.
Certification:
FM Approved, IS 11871 , ISO 6940 & BS EN 45545
Option 4 : For Welding Sparks upto 1260°C
Fabric Options:
Vermiculite Coated Ceramic with SS Wire of thickness 3.2 mm can be used. Offers welding sparks protection upto 1260°C.
Certification:
IS 11871 & ISO 6940
Option 5 : For Fire & Molten Metal Splash Protection + Radiant Heat upto 1100°C
Fabric Options:
Aluminized Fiberglass of thickness 0.45 mm is recommended for continuous radiant heat protection upto 1100°C. Can withstand maximum radiant heat upto 1650°C. Used for safety wear for fire, radiant heat and molten metal splash protection.
Certification:
EN ISO 11612 & IS 11871
Option 6 : For Fire & Molten Metal Splash Protection + Radiant Heat upto 1650°C
Fabric Options:
Aluminized Para-Aramid (Kevlar) of thickness 1.5 mm is recommended for continuous radiant heat protection upto 1650°C. Can withstand maximum radiant heat upto 1650°C. Used for safety wear for fire, radiant heat and molten metal splash protection.
Certification:
EN ISO 11612 , ISO 15025 , EN 388, EN 407 & IS 11871
Option 7 : If combined properties of above options is needed.
Fabric Options:
If multiple properties is needed then we can make a multi-layered fabric assembly combining and stitching multiple fabrics together. For example is chemical resistance is needed and maximum temperature resistance is 1000°C, then we would stitch a multi-layered assembly using Silicone Coated Fiberglass and High Silica Fabric.
There are various other high temperature fabric options also available besides the ones mentioned above. Furthermore we can make custom multi-layered fabric assemblies as per your requirements. To know more email us at Sales@RNG.Asia.
